Is CBD Right For Your Pet? 5 Key Points To Consider

Although many people are personally using CBD for its natural health and wellness benefits, some still have questions about using it for their fur family members. If you have been considering the possibility of using CBD for your dog or cat and would like to know more about whether it is right for your pet, here are 5 key points that might help facilitate your decision.

Key Point #1: Is CBD Beneficial For Pets And Do Veterinarians Agree?

A 2018 online survey of VIN (Veterinary Information Network-an online veterinary community) evaluated veterinarians’ views regarding CBD hemp products for dogs, and various perceptions were revealed. Questions were asked on a number of areas of hemp and CBD for pets, such as: side effects, legal status, suggestion of usage to clients, experience and knowledge of CBD products for dogs along with other survey questions.

The take away with respect to beneficial use in this survey was, of the 2,130 survey veterinarian participants, when posed with the question of support for medicinal uses of hemp/CBD products for dogs from a medical standpoint:

82.2% approved or strongly approved

13.2% neutral

3.7% disapprove or strongly disapprove

Many clinical trials are ongoing and most veterinarians agree that further research is both needed and welcomed for a greater understanding of the potential medicinal benefits of hemp CBD for dogs and other pets.

Key Point #2: CBD And Your Pet’s Endocannabinoid System

Just like humans, dogs, cats and all vertebrate animals have an endocannabinoid system (ECS) which functions, in basic terms, in the same way. It is believed the direct and indirect interaction of CBD with this vast biological regulatory system, the ECS, which provides the benefits of enhancing the biological processes that include: immune, anxiety and pain response, sleep, mood and memory.

Key Point #3: CBD May Help Keep Dogs And Cats Stress Free

Many pets experience anxiety and exhibit stressful behaviors, like chewing up shoes and furniture, excessive barking, urinating and defecating in the house, shredding toilet paper and other forms of ‘acting out’. Many pet parents have found that dosing CBD for pets at home can help by keeping them in their natural relaxed state, therefore avoiding stress and anxiety.

Key Point #4: CBD To Help Your Pet With Pain And Inflammation

Many conditions such as arthritis, joint pain and mobility as well as digestive issues in pets can be the result of uncontrolled inflammation. CBD pet tinctures may help to maintain healthy, pain free mobility in joints. Custom CBD pet tincture formulas that are developed specifically for your pet’s wellness needs, delivered with a tasty bacon flavor, can provide both short and long term mobility support for your fur friend.

Key Point #5: How Much CBD Should I Give My Pet?

Most CBD products for pets include a recommended dosage. The best rule of dosing CBD for both pets and humans is to start low and go slow. Ideal dosing is dependent on the concentration of the CBD product and the weight of your pet. Some veterinarians recommend a range of

0.05mg to 0.25mg per pound of bodyweight, administered twice daily and to observe the results over a week and adjust as needed. If you have any questions about dosage, please consult your veterinarian.

For easy administration of CBD for pets, tinctures can be added to food or they may be given a natural dog treat. CBD can be a part of your pet’s daily health regimen to promote health, wellness and vitality.

Using Premium Hemp Oil To Reduce Occasional Anxiety And Stress

Let’s face it, life can be stressful at times and anxiety can seemingly take over, even for the most upbeat, positive thinkers. There is a reason that stress and anxiety are at the top of the list of conditions for which people seek help from doctors and psychologists. It is also a top reason people seek out all natural CBD from the hemp plant because there are possible side effects of pharmaceuticals. Let’s take a look at how others use premium hemp CBD oil to keep away the symptoms of anxiety and stress and keep them at their best.

CBD For Stress Related Insomnia

One of the most common symptoms of anxiety is the inability to fall asleep, stay asleep and experience a deep sleep. When you are chronically tired during your waking hours, due to lack of sleep, your feelings of anxiety may increase. This creates a negative feedback loop that requires regulating your sleep-wake cycle to bring your circadian rhythm back to balance.

According to this 2020 study, CBD may have a therapeutic potential for regulating the sleep-wake cycle. Many people find that a full spectrum CBD formula, that has naturally occurring terpenes, can help keep them relaxed and maintain a healthy sleep cycle. Many who use CBD before bed, take it an hour or two before bedtime. That along with cozying up with a great book and a strict lights out time can set you up for a great nights sleep!

CBD For Stress Induced Muscle Tension

CBD edibles and tinctures can be taken internally and paired with a CBD topical gel or pain patch to target specific areas of your body. A combination of internal CBD ingestion and topical application provides a comprehensive protocol and keeps you feeling of relaxed and calm.

When you are anxious your body becomes tense and contracted, this creates muscle tension that results in body aches and soreness. Athletes like Chris Spileman and Scott McDonald have used CBD post workout and according to this 2020 study, CBD has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties as well.

Using CBD Products With Relaxation Techniques

Managing stress and anxiety with relaxation techniques like, yoga, meditation, dancing and other physical activities is a great way to relieve stress. Physical activities produce endorphins; brain chemicals that are natural painkillers, and also contribute to improved sleep.

CBD also activates in the body’s endocannabinoid system through a similar biological pathway, the serotonin pathway, which is also targeted by pharmaceutical anxiety and depression medications, SSRIs (Selective Serotonin Uptake Inhibitors). Serotonin is the feel-good neurotransmitter, which regulates stress response and mood.

By combining dosing a full spectrum CBD oil either before, after or during your physical activity, you can help stimulate your body’s natural response to keep you in balance, calm and at your optimum wellbeing. You just cannot feel good and be stressed at the same time!

Also, a massage with a CBD massage and body oil is a luxurious way to let it all go and keep the stress away!

Five things doctors are saying about CBD

Whether you've heard about it from your sister-in-law or a Spotify ad, there's no denying that CBD is everywhere these days. The natural compound primarily found in the hemp plant is gaining major traction in popular culture and the wellness world, as people continue to praise its healthy properties.

But even with all the excitement, it's clear there's still a long way to go to understanding the potential therapeutic benefits and possible unknowns. So, just what are medical professionals and doctors saying about CBD? Are some skeptical? Let's uncover some of the most talked-about CBD arguments, so you'll be in the know.

  1. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), CBD oil is safe - Most doctors give at least some credence to guidance by the WHO. In 2018 the WHO affirmed that CBD is safe, and it is well-tolerated by humans and animals. They also found it is not associated with any negative public health effects. There is also preliminary evidence that CBD may be a useful treatment for several other medical conditions.
  2. Unlike its cousin THC, CBD does not cause intoxicating effects - CBD produces no 'high effect' and is legal at the Federal level in the US by the 2018 Farm Bill. Only three states have not made CBD legal at the state level (Idaho, Iowa, and South Dakota). Federal law defines CBD as products containing less than 0.3% THC. Research shows that THC levels - upward of 20% - produce psychoactive effects. It’s important to note that not all CBD products are completely THC free. Broad-spectrum and isolate CBD products have, what labs call, no traceable amounts of CBD, while full-spectrum CBD Oil can contain trace amounts of THC (less than 0.3%).
  3. FDA approval is just beginning - According to the US Food and Drug Administration, the FDA is 'working to answer questions about the 'science, safety, and quality of products containing cannabis and cannabis-derived compounds, particularly CBD.' Currently, the only FDA-approved CBD medication is Epidiolex, which is used to treat certain seizures. Although it's the single FDA-approved product right now, the FDA is looking at CBD in more depth.
  4. Quality is king - Industry experts and doctors agree that if patients decide to take CBD, they should look for products with only the highest-quality ingredients. What should you look for? Make sure CBD products are 3rd-party lab tested. This type of testing validates customers are getting what the packaging and label indicate. CBD manufacturers that produce products in ISO certified, FDA-registered facilities also give consumers the confidence they're getting premium CBD products.
  5. More research is needed - We all know doctors like data. And, the truth remains, CBD research is still in the early stages. Many scientists want to see more research into the long-term implications and benefits of CBD. Another area of consideration is that most studies today are looking at CBD oil itself and not at manufactured CBD products, which often include terpene compounds and other natural blends. Thus, the consensus is to proceed cautiously with CBD oil and with an open mind - look at evidence-based research as it's published.

Do your research and have a conversation with your doctor

While research continues, most scientists agree that CBD could play a part in our wellness and can help maintain biological balance. However, not every patient has the same experience with CBD products. The best advice is to consult with your physician before trying any therapies, including CBD. The conversation between a patient and doctor should focus on the treatments available and the relative potential for each option's risk vs. benefits. Are your pets Pawsome!? They deserve CBD - Here’s the scoop

When it comes to our pets, there's nothing we won't do for them. We’ll use paw-some dog puns whenever possible! We’ll also give them the healthiest food and snacks, throw them over-the-top birthday parties, give them free rein on the couch - the list goes on and on! The same is true for treating our fur families' ailments like anxiety, stress, or any aches and pains.

Sit-stay-CBD

So, if there's something natural out there that may be able to keep them healthy, isn't it worth sniffing out? The answer for many pet parents is a resounding yes. The treatment garnering a lot of attention these days is cannabidiol, otherwise known as CBD. CBD is a natural-occurring compound extracted primarily from hemp plants and it’s thought to have many therapeutic properties.

So how can CBD help? One study - from Harvard - shows that CBD may be an effective treatment for addressing anxiety and for patients who have trouble falling and staying asleep. Other studies show that CBD may offer treatment for different types of chronic pain like that caused by inflammation or neuropathy. But can CBD really help our furry friends? Research continues, but the answer looks very promising.

How it works - Claws and effect

Studies show CBD can have the same calming effect on animals as it does on people and can also help lower inflammation and impact how we experience pain. Specifically, research from the European Journal of Pain showed CBD could relieve pain from arthritis in animals when applied to the skin.

Scientists believe CBD works - the same in animals as it does in people - by interacting with our Endocannabinoids System (ECS). The ECS is a complex system that is linked to several functions - appetite and digestion, pain, mood, inflammation, and other immune system responses. Many believe CBD works by being broken down by enzymes in the body. Then, CBD influences receptors - essentially signaling the ECS to 'take action' to bring systems back into biological balance, whether that's producing a calming effect, helping us sleep, or easing pain.

Trust me, I’m a dog-tor - Talking to your veterinarian

If you're interested in learning about CBD's potential benefits for your fur family members, it's smart to be proactive when talking to your vet. There's a growing crop of CBD products marketed for pets that can help you get the results you're seeking. Many people have used CBD to help their 4-legged friends:

  1. Reduce pain
  2. Treat arthritis
  3. Lower anxiety
  4. Promote relaxation

Ask questions and read labels

Because CBD is in the early stages of regulation, it can be challenging to know which pet products are formulated responsibly and contain only natural, high-quality ingredients. Consult with your veterinarian for their recommendations, plus look for pet CBD manufacturers that follow stringent quality control processes. For example, at CBD Health Collection, you can be confident knowing all of our human and pet products are 3rd party tested and our hemp growers follow the strictest quality control guidelines. With all of our CBD products, you can also expect:

  • THC free* products that are safe (*THC-free is defined as undetectable at the lowest level which can be consistently detected using scientific analysis)
  • Organically-grown, premium hemp oil is Non-GMO
  • Made in the USA
  • Pesticide-free
  • Gluten-free and vegan
  • Hemp produced in an ISO certified FDA registered facility with cGMP

Don't stop re-trieving!

Whether your fur family members include dogs, cats, horses, bunnies, goats, or anything in between, high-quality CBD products for pets can let them enjoy all the same benefits and CBD goodness that humans do.

Top 4 natural ways to manage occasional stress right now

You don't have to look too far to find stressful events in today's modern life. Jobs and economic stress, family demands, or simply dealing with unexpected events of daily life can sometimes make us feel stressed or overwhelmed. Stress can affect our body, thoughts, emotions, and behavior.

What's the big deal about too much stress?

The interesting thing about stress is it doesn't necessarily matter whether it stems from big life events or minor problems like traffic. Studies show, whatever the source, the most stressed-out people have the highest risk of health problems because our bodies release more of the stress hormone cortisol. Continuous periods of elevated cortisol levels can then interfere with our nervous system and brain function. Long-term high-stress levels can also lower our immune function, increase blood pressure and cholesterol, and contribute to heart disease.

Relieving the pressure

So, if you’re thinking - ‘oh great, I’m more stressed than ever!’ Don’t worry. There are several natural ways to relieve stress - let's take a look at some of the most effective remedies.

  1. Start or continue exercising - Exercise is one of the most important things people can do to deal with stress in healthy ways. Most doctors agree the benefits of exercise are most potent when individuals have a consistent routine. Researchers tell us that when we exercise, we lower stress hormones and release endorphins, which are must-have mood-boosting chemicals.
  1. Surround yourself with calming scents - For thousands of years, people have used aromatic oils, candles, and essential oils - often called aromatherapy - to reduce stress and promote relaxation. What produces these superpower scents? Terpenes!  Terpenes are found in all plants, and each has a unique set of compounds emitted that produce those scents. Many fragrances are known to be particularly calming, such as lavender. Other 'peppery' or 'woodsy' smelling terpenes found in clove oil, basil, hops, cinnamon, and oregano, and rosemary, are shown to increase feelings of contentment and improvement in mood. Many people introduce terpenes and essential oils into their environment using an essential oil diffuser. Many individuals have experienced lower levels of stress by combining calming terpenes and essential oils. By being mindful and surrounding yourself with natural, calming scents, many people benefit from can promote relaxation and other health benefits.
  1. Consider CBD - Many individuals have also found relief using cannabidiol or CBD to lower their anxiety levels and improve their mood. Primarily derived from the hemp plant, CBD is a natural compound that works by interacting with one of the body's most critical regulatory systems - the ECS or Endocannabinoid System. While research continues, many scientists believe CBD affects certain areas of the brain and binds to specific receptors within the ECS, signaling the nervous system's actions to create stability or homeostasis within the body. Mainly, with optimal levels of cannabinoids, our body's regulatory systems can perform better, keeping our systems in natural harmony. Many people like CBD oil because it is a natural way to promote well-being and reduce the daily stress that often keeps us from living our best life.
  1. Spend time with your friends and family (including your fur family!) - If you're feeling stressed or anxious, your tendency may be to withdraw from your social circle. However, experts tell us that's the worst thing to do. Interacting with friends and family can help you get through stressful times. And, by regularly spending time with our pets, other family members, and friends, stressful times won't seem so stressful. Research also shows that social connections and companionship can trigger the release of our bodies' natural stress reliever and positive- mood-booster oxytocin. Similarly, connecting with pets gives us a sense of belonging and self-worth. Studies suggest that playing with a dog or cat can elevate our serotonin and dopamine levels, promoting calm and relaxation. Hugging or petting our fur babies can also soothe us when we're stressed or anxious.

Living with less stress is possible!

Although big and small stressors are a part of modern life, following these simple and natural remedies can help reduce the adverse effects of anxiety. At CBD Health Collection, we offer a variety of premium hemp-derived CBD products that can help individuals feel more relaxed and manage stress better. New Uses for Premium Hemp Oil - CBD

Living through these stressful times can trigger anxious moments for us all.  The coronavirus and related issues such as social distancing, job insecurity, worry about the spread of disease and more can cause us to worry about the outcomes for ourselves and for our loved ones.

What are Anxiety Disorders?

Healthcare professionals consider anxiety disorders to be a variety of mental health conditions that are characterized by disproportionate worrying about future live events.  This worrying can bring about a variety of physiological responses in the body such as difficulty concentrating, restlessness, shortness of breath, agitation, sleep disruption, sweating, and muscle tension.

Anxiety can be triggered by an event or activity that makes you nervous or worried.  Anxiety can be a reaction to your stress, but it can also occur in people who have no obvious stressors.

How can CBD help?

Many people (perhaps millions) successfully use CBD (premium hemp oil) to reduce anxiety and stress caused by our fast-paced lifestyles. There are many researchers looking at the correlation between CBD and anxiety relief.

While more research is needed, there are many studies that support the use of CBD to help with anxiety.  One example is a well-known study from 2011 (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21307846). In the clinical trial, patients with social anxiety disorder (SAD) were either given a dose of CBD oil or a placebo. They then had to do a social speaking simulation and their anxiety levels measured by different parameters were assessed.  A CBD premium hemp oil that many find helpful for Anxiety can be found

People who had received the actual CBD showed significantly lower anxiety levels than participants who had been given a placebo. Clinical trials and research are ongoing to enable us to better understand how CBD works with the endocannabinoid receptors in the brain.  However, there is evidence to suggest that premium hemp oil might even work against other disorders such as depression and addictive disorders.

What does the science show us?

CBD works by interacting with one of the body's own regulatory systems called the endocannabinoid system (ECS).  Endocannabinoid receptors are located throughout the body and the system is a part of our central nervous system. We find ECS receptors most abundantly in the brain but they are also in the gut, reproductive system, bones and immune cells.

The ECS plays an essential role in keeping the body within a narrow range of operating conditions.  We call this homeostasis.  The ECS controls some very important functions such as mood, memory, stress, sleep, behavior, appetite, pain, immune function and reproductive health. Endocannabinoids are naturally produced and they bind to the endocannabinoid receptors and regulate all the above functions - the endocannabinoid system plays an important role in keeping us healthy and happy.

Researchers believe that CBD/premium hemp oil doesn't interact directly with the ECS receptors, but instead, it stimulates the endocannabinoid system to produce its own cannabinoids. In addition, it slows their breakdown by inhibiting the FAAH enzyme, so the endocannabinoids can stay in your body for longer.

Does CBD have any risks?

The World Health Organization (WHO) has stated that CBD is safe and with no addictive potential. In a 1000 mg CBD, 30 ml bottle, a full 1 ml pipette contains 33 mg CBD. This means that 1 drop contains a bit more than 1.5 mg of CBD.

Most people take between 10-100 mg CBD per day which is thought by most medical professionals to be completely safe. One study showed that when you take doses of CBD above 1000 mg you could see a small effect on liver enzymes but this dose is uncommon and not recommended. If you have any doubts, consult your personal physician.

How do I know what CBD to use?

While CBD is an amazing product that offers incredible results, it is important to know a little bit about the CBD products that you are going to use.  There is little government regulation over CBD products and unfortunately there are some unscrupulous sellers who take short cuts and use inferior product just to increase their profit.  Always look for quality.

So, how can you be sure that your CBD product is safe?  Here are some key items to look for:

  • Look for hemp products made from US grown hemp as the US Department of Agriculture regulates safe cultivation of hemp;
  • Look for products that are grown using organic farming guidelines (see below);
  • Ensure that the product manufacturing is certified by ISO (see below);
  • Ensure that manufacturer is cGMP certified (see below)
  • Look for manufacturers who are FDA Registered (see below);
  • Only use products that are laboratory tested in independent, certified labs and let you view the laboratory analysis.

All of CBD Health Collection products follow the above guidelines so that you can be assured of a pure, safe and effective CBD product. You can find those products here.

Ready to hit the golf course? Don't forget this must-have item for your golf bag.

As stay-at-home orders begin relaxing across the country, there are many reasons to be hopeful. Many of the hardest-hit places like New York and San Francisco seem to be getting a handle on the virus. Plus, businesses are slowly and cautiously opening back up to get the economy moving again. Another bright spot? It looks like we’ll soon be getting back to some of our favorite spring and summertime activities. Golfers, in particular, may have a big reason to smile.

Golf right now? A pretty safe bet

Golf Digest recently looked at the potential risks that come along with playing golf in the COVID-19 era. What about picking up the flagstick? Reaching into the hole to grab your ball? Or taking a couple of swings in the sand trap? In the article, the authors talked with multiple infectious disease experts who studied potential coronavirus risks, ultimately concluding that golf ranks as one of the 'safest sports' in our current climate.

Getting back out there? CBD can help

Doctors point out that as long as golfers consistently follow the 'six-foot distancing rule,' they avoid touching their faces, and players wash their hands at least with hand sanitizer - keeping hazards on the course to a minimum is achievable. Another bright spot is how golfers are treating their common injuries - it’s a natural cannabinoid compound that's derived from the hemp plant, commonly known as CBD.

Natural superpowers for treating pain and inflammation

Today, there's a much greater understanding of how CBD works within the body, as well as the potential therapeutic benefits. A growing number of golfers report that CBD helps alleviate pain and it reduces inflammation before, during, and after playing a round or hitting the driving range. So, what are the most common golf injuries that CBD can help treat? Read on.

  1. Pain in the Wrist - Pain, and tenderness in the wrist are common symptoms for golfers. Even a proper grip and good mechanics can lead to wrist injuries overtime.
  2. Tendinitis in the elbows - Irritation and inflammation of the tendons surrounding the elbows are some of the most common conditions affecting golfers. Often referred to as 'tennis elbow,' this condition is also prevalent for golfers because the outer tendon is taxed when swinging a golf club.
  3. Shoulder and rotator cuff injuries - A poorly executed golf swing, overuse, or an acute injury like hitting a root or the ground with a club can lead to rotator cuff damage, which impairs movement at the shoulder.
  4. Knee and back pain - Knee and back pain are a problem for golfers because these areas are often extended or strained during a golf swing. There's also a twisting motion, which causes additional pressure on these parts of the body.
  5. Overexposure to the sun - Golf is excellent exercise, but without proper protection from the sun, players can get unhealthy amounts of UV exposure in a single round. Not to mention, consistent exposure from frequent playing.
  6. Improving focus - Golf is much more than a physical game - it requires skill and focus to maintain proper form.

How should you take it?

When it comes to CBD oil, deciding on the form of the product to take usually comes down to preference. For convenience, many prefer CBD oil in the form of a tincture, using a dropper of the extract on a daily basis. For those that don't like absorbing CBD oil under the tongue, other options are gummies, gel capsules, or even patches. Topical products like salves or creams that can be rubbed onto the skin are a convenient way to get CBD quickly into the areas where golfers feel pain the most - elbows, knees, wrists, or back.

Get out there!

As things start getting back to our 'new normal' golf is a great way to beat cabin fever and safely exercise, but it does come with its fair share of injuries. If you're ready to get back outside and you want to play more golf without hurting, now is a great time to try all-natural, hemp-derived CBD.

Top 6 exciting benefits of CBD oil

It seems that you can't listen to Spotify, talk to your neighbor, or visit your pharmacy without hearing about CBD oil. Each CBD conversation also comes with its own set of claims about what CBD delivers. But with all the messages out there, what's real and what's hype? What are the benefits of CBD oil? Can CBD help runners? Is it safe for your grandma? What about helping with inflammation, pain, or anxiety?

Let's dive into the basics and highlight the most common uses and benefits of CBD and other cannabinoids. Then, you can move forward, making the best decision for you and your family.

First, what is CBD?

Starting with the basics - CBD is one of the most well-known cannabinoids out there, and it is primarily derived from the hemp plant. So, most CBD oil sold commercially is hemp-derived, so it has no 'mind-altering' effects. Great!

What are the top benefits of CBD oil?

So, what do people use CBD oil for? What should you expect? Let's dive into some of the primary benefits many have experienced using CBD.

  1. Managing stress - Any doctor will tell you that prolonged stress can have negative physical and mental impacts. Chronic stress makes the heart work harder, and it can negatively impact our emotions, behaviors, and mental state. Luckily CBD has helped many individuals better manage their stress and anxiety levels. For all ages, individuals have found many benefits in taking CBD to control stress, promote wellness, and regain focus and control.
  2. Fighting inflammation - We all know that inflammation is part of the body's natural healing process. However, inflammation unchecked can also trigger a negative response and turn our own immune system cells against us, causing even bigger problems. Luckily, many individuals experience relief from CBD. By controlling inflammation people report significant health improvements. So whether you're strength training and want faster recovery times, or you have arthritis or nerve issues, reducing inflammation is a key to vitality and wellness.
  3. Promoting healthy sleep - Many people struggle with getting enough high-quality sleep - but they don't have to. Scientists and individuals have discovered the therapeutic effects of using CBD to promote better sleep. Many people believe CBD oils can help put the mind at ease and relax the body, ultimately supporting quality rest, which is a major contributor to overall health and well-being.
  4. Helping pets be their best - Our 'fur families' are so incredibly important. Our animals and pets can make us laugh, sometimes cry, but they're always there for us - no matter what. That's why many are turning to pet-friendly CBD products to help our fur friends be at their best. Many individuals have reported that their animals have more energy and that they're happier and healthier using CBD oil - from healthy hips and joints, lower levels of anxiety, to easing pain.
  5. Better focus - Do you ever just need to clear your mind of clutter to finish a project or go the extra mile? Many fans of CBD have shared that they can zero in on tasks as needed and that they have higher mental clarity when they use the right CBD treatments.
  6. Antibacterial - Today, more than ever, we know that antibacterial treatments are a critical component of maintaining our health. Scientists are studying the possible antibacterial qualities of specific cannabinoids, which are effective against many clinical strains of bacteria. One cannabinoid called cannabigerol (CBG) is even showing its effectiveness at treating a resilient form of bacteria known as MRSA (Science Daily).
