CBD (Cannibidiol) is one of many compounds derived from the hemp plant and was discovered in 1940.
Could using these CBD products cause me to test positive on a drug test?
Because CBD products contain minimal amounts of THC, it is not normally detected on a standard drug test. However, for individuals who are regularly drug tested, we recommend our Pharma Grade products which are tested by an independent, third party laboratory to assure no detectable levels of THC.

No. Federal law defines CBD products as containing less than 0.3% THC. Research shows that in order to see psychoactive effects of THC, there need to be much higher levels of THC, upward of 20%.
What Is the Endocannabinoid System and what does it have to do with CBD?
The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is a metabolic pathway of communication in the body. This large system is responsible for regulating many biological functions with the goal to create balance or homestasis. The body activates the ECS to “autocorrect” a function in the body that has been determined to be irregular. Be it body temperature, a drop in blood sugar or signs of fatigue. The brain and other organs have small “landing sites” on them called receptors. The receptors for the chemical that is detected in CBD are called cannabinoid receptors. These receptors are found very densely in the brain. The substance that allows “information” to move between the active chemical in CBD (phytocannabinoids) to the cannabinoid receptors are called neurotransmitters, namely endocannabinoids. Endocannabinoids and the phytocannabinoids both attach to the Cannabinoid receptors. Endocannabinoids are naturally made by the body and are quickly broken down by enzymes after the desired effect has been achieved. CBD has been found to stop the action of the enzyme that would break down the Endocannabinoid that is attached to the brain’s receptor when anxiety, restlessness or agitation is perceived, thus allowing the phytocannabinoid in the CBD to persist longer at the receptor and have a prolonged effect, such as calming.

How does a healthy person benefit from an intact Endocannabinoid System?
When the human body is thriving, it has accomplished its steady state of achieving equilibrium and is maintaining the chemical, internal and physical conditions necessary for growth and repair. In essence, it is maintaining life. The body’s regulatory systems such as blood pressure mechanisms with changes in posture will resist change when it is in optimal conditions. Repeated episodes of un-corrected homeostasis results in illness and prolonged disease states.
A well-functioning Endocannabinoid System distinctly targets the organ system that is need of regulation. If the body detects low blood sugar, the corrective action is to trigger a hunger impulse in the brain. A dysfunctional endocannabinoid system would also trigger hormone release for fertility or changes in the body temperature.
Who can benefit from CBD oil products?
Humans and even pets can benefit from CBD oil products because of the effects on the endocannabinoid system. All animals, including vertebrates (mammals, birds, reptiles, and fish) and invertebrates (sea urchins, leeches, mussels, nematodes, and others) have been found to have endocannabinoid systems. Because CBD is extracted from plants, CBD oil itself is a safe and natural product that continues to have more scientifically significant health benefits reported.
What are terpenes and why are they important?
We believe that terpenes are an integral part of any quality CBD product. Terpenes are aromatic molecules that readily announce themselves to the nose. They are responsible for the smell of lemons, oranges, pepper, oregano and many other foods. Many researchers have emphasized the pharmacological importance of terpenes.
Terpenes, it turns out, do not only influence the smell of a plant, they are also potentially healthy for people. A September 2011 report by Dr. Ethan Russo in the British Journal of Pharmacology discussed the wide-ranging therapeutic attributes of terpenoids, which are typically lacking in “CBD-only” products.
Different terpenes are thought to have different health benefits; therefore, terpenes are thought to have significant impact on how well any CBD product can influence different health issues.
What are the areas and conditions that are being researched with the use of CBD?
Current research includes exploring cannabinoids as therapies for alleviating multiple types of symptoms associated with several medical conditions. The following is a list of a few that have undergone research trials. This is not an all-inclusive list, nor is it a claim for full treatment, but an example of the wide range of CBD potential in the future.
Medical conditions under research and some current uses include:
- Autoimmune Disorders:
- Chronic inflammatory conditions
- Chronic pain conditions
- Cardiovascular Diseases
- Coronary artery plaque formation
- Alzheimer’s Disease
- Pediatric Epilepsy
- Neurodevelopmental disorders
- Neurodegenerative disorders
- Acute kidney disease
- Chronic renal disorders
How much CBD should I take?
For tinctures, we recommend 1 dropper as needed with the oil placed under the tongue for 60 seconds and then swallow, or as recommended by your healthcare provider. Since each person’s endocannabinoid system and how CBD is processed within the body is unique, you may need to adjust the dose slightly.
Topicals should be applied as needed.
How is CBD commonly used?
CBD must get into the bloodstream to be active in the body. This is mainly accomplished by oral ingestion of oil tinctures (a solution of oil mixed with a carrier oil) that placed under the tongue or a softgel tablet. Products absorbed thru the skin also enter into the bloodstream, which is why many consumers enjoy CBD lotions, gels, salves and concentrated patches.
Why choose CBD Health Collection?
We are a family owned business who not only believes in the efficacy of the products, but also our process. We always seek high-quality and full transparency.
Our network of hemp farms are located throughout the USA in states that have a US Farm Bill-compliant program. They are some of the most established hemp farms in the the country and follow strict organic guidelines. Our consistent and unique medicinal genetics provide us with the highest quality and most effective products in the CBD industry.
We are proud to have manufacturing facilities with the following certifications:
We are proud to offer custom terpene formulations that specifically target inflammation or anxiety. With CBD Health Collection you can be assured of a high quality, safe and effective CBD product.
How does CBD Health Collection perform its extraction?
To begin with, our farmers follow strict organic guidelines in growing and harvesting our hemp. They then use the Supercritical CO2 extraction method. This process operates without air like other older methods, which can cause oxidation of the compound, and affords more control of the purity of the cannabinoids and their flavors.
Other extraction methods use harsh chemicals such as ethanol, butane, propane, isopropyl, or alcohol. Our supercritical CO2 extraction provide a clean and efficient way to remove CBD from the hemp plant.
How do I know if a CBD product is safe and effective?
The popularity of CBD has led many companies to get into this large market. Some got into the market because it is “hot” and if they source cheap, imported product, they can make a big profit. They are not focused on quality and transparency; simply looking at profit.
Not every company handles the CBD product from its origin as hemp seeds, straight thru the extraction process like we do. That being said, there are ways to determine that you have indeed purchased a quality product that contains CBD.
Per the FDA’s website, consumers should only buy CBD products that are derived from hemp plants that are organically grown in the USA, without any pesticides and manufactured in a FDA registered facility that is cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) compliant.
Does your product come with a Certificate of Analysis (COAs)? COAs are the lab reports that are generated when processed CBD oils are analyzed for their quality. COAs reveal the presence of pesticides, fertilizer and other undesired chemicals including the presence and amount of other cannabinoids such as THC. The full transparency of product production starts with our COAs where our customers can see the lab we use here in the USA on their product’s report.
